In our fast paced world with many due dates, programs, and activities vying for our attention, we need to carve out time for our nearest and dearest priorities, our family.

In what ways can we put our families first? By spending time with them. Family time is one of the most effective ways of helping our children feel loved, cared for, and important.A study done of families in the Netherlands showed that, “the more the household regulates its time by strict boundaries, the less the work sphere can intrude and steal time from domestic activities.”
(Wotshack, Glebbeek, and Wittek 2014)

Experts have shown that the more time a child spends with their family the less likely they are to experiment with drugs and alcohol. Time with family help children form stronger attachments and do better in school. It also helps protect against mental health issues.

What turns an ordinary family;

into an Incredible family?

Family Time

Families need time together to learn the strengths and weakness of one another. Learning of each other's strengths can help us know what we can rely on in our family, Learning of the weakness of family members can help us know where they need to be strengthened. Time together helps strengthen these commitments to each other and strengthen our bonds.

There are many times families can feel strained and under pressure, I found in my home with my six children, work, and school, we find that the way to avoid these pressures from turning into rifts causing damage to the relationships in our home was to spend time as a family.

 In what ways can we spend time as a family and how can we make the most of this time?
